DENVER (CBS4) ― Denver Broncos' wide receiver Brandon Marshall's drunk driving trial was postponed Monday morning. The trial is now scheduled for June 18.

Marshall appeared at the Denver City and County Building for the hearing with a bandage on his hand.

Marshall said he was at a resort in Orlando, Fla., when he slipped on the wrapper and stuck out his hand to brace himself as he fell. The hand went through a TV entertainment center, according to NFL Network.

NFL.com reports that Marshall will be out three months and that he severed an artery, a vein and a nerve in his forearm along with tendons to five muscles. He is expected to be ready for the Broncos' training camp in late July.

Marshall was arrested on Oct. 22 for driving erratically in lower downtown Denver. He was arrested and booked, then taken to a detox center.

Last year, he was arrested after a dispute with his girlfriend. A false imprisonment charge was dropped after he completed an anger-management course.
