A Brighton couple was in court Monday morning after a neighbor complained about the loud horns that sound at their home every time the Denver Broncos score a touchdown. Jeri Priest faces jail time if she's convicted of disorderly conduct.
Priest and her husband Larry were at the courthouse as Jeri was arraigned.
The couple created a machine outside their home that sounded off whenever the Broncos score. Larry welded six car horns onto a dolly about 30 years ago and connected it all to a car battery.
Jeri and Larry priest were cited in late October after a fairly new neighbor complained about the noise. The night of the citation, 31 points were scored.
The couple left the courthouse showing support for the Broncos. Relatives were wearing orange and blue as well.
Jeri said she is considering hiring an attorney and knows she would like to have John Elway or Pat Bowlen on the jury if her case goes to trial.
Jeri is due back in court on Dec. 18.
She faces 6 months in jail and a $500 fine if convicted.
