DENVER (CBS4) ― The Broncos season hasn't started yet and the team has already lost a running back.

J.J. Arrington, who the Broncos signed three months ago, couldn't pass his physical so they cut him on Wednesday.

The Broncos are holding another mini-camp this week, which will mean more of a chance for first round draft pick Knowshon Moreno to try to carve out a position at the top spot of the running back pecking order, which is now a little bit smaller.

Arrington had knee surgery in the offseason. He played for the Arizona Cardinals last year.
