The son of a former Bronco who played in three Super Bowls has died in a motorcycle accident.
Vance Johnson's son, Vaughn Edward, died last night after the motorcycle he was driving collided with a Chevy Suburban. Authorities said the woman driving the Suburban turned into the path of the motorcycle.
It happened in the intersection of 100th Avenue and Sheridan Boulevard in Westminster.
Vaughn Edward would have been 20 years old next month. Authorities said he was wearing a helmet.
The woman driving the Suburban was not hurt. She's identified as 26-year-old Melissa Mondragon.
The crash remains under investigation.
CBS4 recently talked with Vance Johnson at his new restaurant in Parachute near Grand Junction.
Vance Johnson played for the broncos for ten year starting in 1985.
