Former Denver Broncos tight end Clarence Kay is being held in the Denver County Jail after being arrested for harassment and violating a restraining order.
Kay was arrested Dec. 31 in connection with an incident last August, according to city records.
Kay, who has a long history of domestic violence arrests, restraining order violations and other arrests, was picked up at 4700 East 6th Avenue in Denver, according to city records.
He has been in jail ever since. Bond has been set at $3,500 for the most recent domestic violence case, although he is also being held in connection with another domestic violence case from last July.
The 47-year-old Kay played tight end for the Broncos from 1984 until 1992.
City records indicate Kay appeared in court Wednesday morning and pleaded not guilty.
He is scheduled to go on trial April 7 .
