The Denver Broncos have signed free agent safety Herana-Daze Jones, a special teams ace recently released by Cincinnati, to replace defensive tackle Josh Shaw on the roster.
Shaw was placed on injured reserve after dislocating his left elbow Sunday in the Broncos' 34-17 win over the New York Jets. The backup big man played in five games for Denver this season, posting three tackles.
Jones was released by the Bengals on Nov. 4 after 3 1/2 seasons in Cincinnati. In 28 career games, Jones has 41 special teams tackles and seven defensive stops. He had four special teams tackles in three games this season.
