Jennifer Miller

CBS4 Reporter Jennifer Miller became a journalist because she wanted to help improve the lives of others by providing vital information to help viewers make decisions to improve their lives.  She has traveled the world covering hurricanes, blizzards, avalanches, wild fires, floods, drought, presidential campaigns, high profile trials including Michael Jackson and O.J. Simpson, the Pope and the Olympics.

Jennifer loved the excitement of traveling at a moment's notice but is glad to now have the opportunity to work in the same community where she lives ... and to be home with her family each night.

Jennifer got her start in broadcast journalism in 1994 at KEVN-TV in Rapid City, South Dakota as the weekend producer.

In 1995, she moved to KCRG-TV in Cedar Rapids, Iowa as a general assignment reporter. She served as weekend anchor and general assignment reporter at WGME-TV in Portland, Maine from 1996 until 1998 when she moved to Colorado to begin working as the CBS4 Mountain Bureau correspondent. During this time, Jennifer began filing reports for CBS This Morning, CBS Newspath and CBS affiliates.

She began working fulltime for the CBS television network in 2001 as a news correspondent where she covered everything from political campaigns to national disasters.

She holds a degree in journalism from the University of Minnesota and is currently pursuing a master's degree in organizational leadership at the University of Denver.

Jennifer and her husband, a Blackhawk pilot for the Colorado National Guard, have lived in Colorado for ten years and love it.

One of her proudest moments was seeing her husband safely return from his tour of duty in Iraq last fall.

During her free time, she enjoys trying new foods and wines and hosting dinner parties for friends and family.

Her favorite escape is to the mountains where Jennifer loves camping, hiking, rock climbing, kayaking, skiing and fishing. One of these days she's going to figure out that snowboard!
