Lynn Carey
Traffic reporter Lynn Carey joined the CBS4 News team in the fall of 2001, after a long and successful career with Metro Traffic. Now folks can put a face with the voice as Lynn helps viewers navigate their commute with regular traffic reports on CBS4 at 5 a.m. and 6 a.m. Lynn also reports on traffic-related issues for the evening newscasts.
Lynn grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and graduated from Lake Forest High School. She moved to Colorado to attend Rockmont College, now known as Colorado Christian University, where she graduated in 1985 with a BA in Communication.
Her first job after college was with the Department of Commerce in Washington. But, she missed the mountains and returned to Colorado in 1987 and later began her broadcasting career, first as a morning radio announcer at 1550AM Kingdom Radio, and then as a traffic reporter at Metro Networks.
Lynn enjoys working in her garden, the pursuit of cooking well, and most of all, her beloved cats, including Prissy, Hannah Joy and Eli. In addition, Lynn has adopted two CBS4 Pets of the Week: LuLu Bear, a dog from the Dumb Friends League, and Cheyenne, a dog from the MaxFund.
Lynn's Web exclusive Traffic @ Your Desk reports can be seen every weekday morning on cbs4denver.com.
